Muziki Africa at FAME Week Africa, taking place in the Host City of Cape Town from the 24 – 26 August 2022, aspires to support up-and-coming artists through their production camp which is a combination of in studio track recording, talks and masterclasses.
“Finalising your ideas can be a process, that’s why, Muziki Africa will be choosing two up-and-coming artists to record in a state-of-the-art studio with producers of Berlin Based label Paradise Sound System. Together with championing independent label, the label behind the international release of the smash hit ‘Osama’ by Zakes Bantwini we want to give young talent the opportunity to create work of International standard. We are ready to hear from you,” says Martin Hiller, Content + Creative Director: Muziki Africa at FAME Week Africa.
As a label, Paradise Sound System has been fortunate to work and create with a wide range of different musicians from many different countries and success levels. “We believe that collaboration is an essential part of learning, sharpening skills, making great music and experiencing that pure joy that only creating can bring. We always try to build bridges with each release we work on,” says Sarah Jane Nicholson, Managing Director: Paradise Sound System Africa.
Other artists’ song releases that the team behind Paradise Sound System has been involved with include Namakau Star, Marcus Harvey, Moonchild Sanelly, Mi Casa, Locnville, GoodLuck, Deep Aztec and Floyd Lavine. HOW IT WORKS
We are looking for independent artists who have sublime music, a distinct vision and the determination to work independently.
Simply submit your song here. After a selection process to ensure the right mix of talent, eight successful applicants can expect a jam-packed camp of collaboration, supported by ARMC and Blackhead Studios, the mastering partner of Paradise Sound System based in Berlin. Two artists will be invited to spend a day recording their potential hit in one of Cape Town’s leading recording studios and will get access to the Muziki Conference at FAME Week Africa.
